I would use two borders too. The first one narrow and off white, the last one wider and you have the pleasure of choosing whatever color you like. If you use tone on tone you can use any color that you would like to magnify from the quilt. Love this scrappy Hunter's Star. On my to do list.

I see some of the blocks I made! (Looks like 6) This is great. I need more blocks to finish mine, so I better hurry up. Yours looks great, boarders or not.

Hi Jane, That is looking great. I just need to finish putting my rows together before mine will be ready to quilt. (My machine has been in the shop for the last couple of weeks.) I finally just got it back. Hope it works!!

Here's a pastel one I put together with a border of sorts. Just a suggestion. I actually got my idea off of pinterest.

I sandwiched my HS today and won't use a border on it. But I have seen some with borders and they look nice too. Just depends on the style you want. I think just binding it give a more modern look and the borders give a ore traditional look.

I would put a narrower inner border the width of the points in an off beige, plain fabric, and then a wider border in plain light brown. That top has enough going on in it already.

    Just my opinion.

i think it would look good either way... the binding will probably be a solid color? and will look like a very thin border

I, too, think it needs two borders as already suggested. Beautiful quilt in a scrappy color pattern. I like the two-color patterns, but yours is striking. Please post again and show us what you decided to do.

Fabulous!! Half blocks for the border. Really cool. Great job. BTW - did you see some of your blocks in my quilt??
