Scraps are like a big hamper full of guilt, for me. Why aren't you using this? This is wasteful! Why haven't you started the scrap quilts, yet? Why haven't you sorted me? We're all in a jumble here - not even pressed!

So, every now and then, I go through my scrap hamper and set aside only the things that I know I will use again. (and that is virtually nothing) Everything else is given away. I don't tend to put the really small scraps into the hamper, so I know that quilters who love scrappy projects will be able to use the stuff.

Then I breathe a big sigh of relief to have that hamper empty again.
