if you add cornerstone AND a half square triangle to each sashing, you'll end up with friendship stars!- for your friend! what a cool surprise for her!

Sounds like a good plan - it's going to be gorgeous. I'm kind of like you too, I prefer a two or three fabric selection to multiple fabrics - it's a difficult choice for me selecting so many fabrics.

Your's is going to be lovely.

My kind of quilt. I've made several of the rail fence design, but I usually put them together without any laticework. That's MY preference. Yopu are trying to please someone else. I like the colors, so bright and cherry.

This is a quilt I am making for a friend. She selected the fabric and the pattern. We don't live near each other, so she mailed the fabric and I am sending her pictures. I am looking for someone who appreciates scrapy quilts to tell me this is going to look okay.

There will be white sashes between the blocks, similar to the way it looks here on my design wall. Then there will be a small border made out of the yellow fabric with orange circles and an outer border make out of the black fabric with sort of fireworks display thing on it.

I have never been able to visualize what a quilt will turn out like. I am hoping one of you can visualize it and say it will look good.

I have sent my friend this picture, and she loves it. I just don't. Scrapy is very hard for me. I tend to do two colored quilts or maybe three colors...

Sorry for the posting last night with no picture. I was tired...just an excuse, but true.
I would distance the similar blocks.

It's going to be a pretty
    quilt. I think the borders
    and sashings will bring it
    all together. Nice job.
