I have a number of seam rippers but my favorite is made by Allary and is called a Combi Cut. One end slides out and is the seam ripper and the other end slides out and is a mini tweezer. I have to admit I rarely use the tweezer end but the ripper will slide right under small stitches and cut them with ease. They last for years and I was always able to get them at Hancocks. The last time I went to buy they no longer carried them so a LQS ordered them in for me. Growing up and my early years of sewing we used a single edge razor blade to rip stitches out!

Too many too count, I do have two new ones that someone made for me and they are fabulous and the handle is long so they feel good in your hand. And then I have a lot that I have pickeup at JoAnns or LQS, when the coupons come out if I don't know what else to buy I grab seam rippers.

I have several of the regulars, but the one I really love is the ergonomic Fons and Porter, which is trated as carefully as my fabric scissors!!! :D

I confess to owning two, one of which is in my sewing room somewhere and the other I know exactly where it is (sigh!)

I have 6 and on my next shopping trip I'm getting 2 or 3 more (depending on cost). I need one within reach of every work space in the sewing room, LOL. No special make, it just needs to "rip". I was forever ripping out the first seam I sewed so I've gotten where I "rip" the first seam no matter if it is sewed right or not. I also cut an extra block just for that reason, smile.

I have two. One came with my machine. I like my Fons & Porter ergonomic style best.
