    I use the Havel's scapel looking seam ripper. It and I just got well acquainted when my machine went kerplooie and I had to rip out a bunch of quilting I had done.

    Mine are cheapies I got with my machines but they get a LOT of use.

    I guess I'm a little hard on them as I keep breaking the pointed end off.

    I have various and sundry seam rippers but my absolute favorite item is the Omnigrid Micro Point scissors. They are teeny tiny points and have saved me from hours of frustration with the seam rippers. I got them at a QS and never found them again....then saw them on Ebay and bought four more pairs of them. They are fabulous for all kinds of work.
