It is the Amish Star Spin, I am so, so happy to find out the name. It was done up very simply with the centre and borders. THANK YOU, so much for the name and photo. It makes sense to me now why it was around the Inn so much, it is called an Amish style Inn. Thanks you made my day!

Judy, there has been lots and lots of discussion about the Star Spin pattern over the years here on the board. If you search "Star Spin Pattern" you'll find several long threads and many more short ones about it.
The original pattern is by Barbara Schaffeld. Her book is pages of tips and steps on how to construct the quilt. The book is called Hand Quilt Without a Frame and is now out of print. You can now find the pattern at http://stores.homestead.com/hstrial-...Categories.bok (the redesigned website of the quiltbooksusa site mentioned in most of the older threads on the subject)

I will search as you suggested. This is such a nice quilt, not sure I can quilt well enough to do it justice. I am going to get the pattern eventually and gather fabric, when?, well have a few UFO's to finish, it seems housework and yardwork can get in the way.
