please unplug it when you leave the room.
Are you saying that there has been a recall on the Dritz travel iron? I can't find any info about any recall for it.

I know it looks much like the Steamfast, but I haven't heard of any problems with it. I've had one for years, and have not had any trouble at all. Of course, I don't leave any iron plugged in when not using it....

There hasn't yet been a recall on the Dritz, but it is the exact same iron as the Steamfast and has the same issue - the strain relief where the cord goes into the iron is much to short and flexible and allows the cord to bend repeatedly at too sharp an angle, causing it to short out and cause a fire.

My LQS always sold the Steamfast travel iron. After this last recall they stopped selling them and now have the Olsio travel iron for sale instead.

Well, I named my little iron Sparky. I don't know why, he is a faithful friend though. No recall that I know of.
He's a Cricut Mini but Mighty.

I have ordered the Tula Pink mini Oliso. They won't be delivered to retailers until early April. Expensive little gizmo....

I got my replacement a couple of weeks ago and it's really cute.
