as i understand it, both sharon and debbie will be unavailable for the secret santa party. (if i've heard wrong, i'm sure somebody will let me know pretty quick. ) i have no idea how it was supposed to work or what they had planned but i know those of you who will be home for christmas were looking forward to some sort of group activity.

sooooooooo ... anybody who want to open their gifts at the same time as other secret santas can gather in the chat room at 9:00 eastern time, monday, december 24th.

i imagine everyone will have a lot to do that day, so we'll plan the mass grand opening for around 9:15. i think it would be great if those of you who have cameras got some shots of yourselves with your presents and posted them while we party.

i'll try to cook up a quick game or two, but i think we should plan to be all wrapped up (you should pardon the pun) by 10.

is that ok with you guys?

Patrice, are you saying 9:00 AM EASTERN time? That would be 6 am for us West Coasters...and I'll be rushing around getting ready to leave for work! :(
If you mean 9:00 PM EST, I'll be out for a family b'day dinner....
I thought we had talked about opening them on Saturday the 22nd?

i wasn't part of the secret santa thing. i've been seeing a lot of questions from the players but no firm answers. i'm not trying to take it over. just wanted to help.

from what i've been reading, there won't be any such thing as one good time for everybody. some people have already indicated they'll be away. monday is the only day i have any hope of some spare time.

this is something best decided by the players. i'm offering my services. if you all decide on something that works better for most of you, trust me - i won't be offended. i'd be very, very happy you found a way to have the party you were all looking forward to. :P

i'll be watching here to see what you guys decide.

Hey all. I am a player and have received my SS gift. However, the recepient of the one I sent will not receive it until FedEx runs at her home on Monday. Yes, I was quite late sending it as I am with everything these days. However, I bring up this to say that Patrice is right. No one time or day will be agreeable to all of us because of one scheduling conflict or another, so I suggest, since Patrice has already got it started, if we can't all meet at the same time, we just use this thread to correspond as we can.

    Any one agree?

Thanks Patrice for stepping in for us.

Carla P It would have been nice if we could all or most of us gather for a chat but if everyone thinks this is the best way (using this thread to post about our gift etc) to work it out, prehaps that is the way to go. I know everyone will be busy that day, being it is Christmas eve, with cooking and last minute preparations of all sorts. So everyone on the list better put in Your two cents worth, thats mine.

Sorry about the whining earlier! It's just that 6am.....How about at regular Monday chat time? I'm at work and online by 7-ish, that's 10-ish EST. If not, oh well, I promise not to whine again! Since we're all over the place it is hard to be in one place at the same time, but a lot of us do manage at the regular chat time. My SS gift arrived in NOVEMBER & it's hard to wait!! lol

    Patrice,
Thanks for helping. 9:00 eastern time, Monday, December 24th is great with me. Then our Secret Santa party should be finishing up when everyone else starts signing on for the regular 10:00 chat. Again, thanks for helping out.

If I have a minute to rest I will drop in, but I kind of doubt that I'll be able to. I'll have family here that evening and we usually have some games and card games going by then. Everyone have a very Merrry Christmas. I can't believe it can be here so soon.

I am not sure whether I can be there, right now I'm not even sure what day it is, they seem to be running into the next for me. I haven't received my secret santa gift, but that's okay, I'm not very much in the mood for christmas anymore. :(

I hope those that can be at the chat, have a wonderful time and have a good Christmas.
