Cheryl, I really admire your avatar quilt. Beautiful! Do you have a pattern name? Did you applique it? Jan

    Jan,
Thank you for the compilment. I made this lap quilt last year for my Mom for Christmas. The pattern is called "Ruby's Iris" by Billie Mahorney. It is not applique, it's a pieced block. As a matter of fact, there are 49 pieces making one Iris block. It was great fun to do & My Mother just loves it. The blocks are 8 1/2" X 10 1/2" unfinished.
    Have a great week............Cheryl

I got mine in yesterday. Now I feel like Terri! No Fair--it is telling me to hurry and open it, it doesn't like the dark! It is getting hot all wrapped up in the beautiful Christmas packaging. I can't wait!

I know!! Hmmmmm.........I think I hear a scratching noise coming from the box. I think I need to open it so that whatever is in there can come out and get some food and air. Poor thing is probably scared of the dark!!!

Yup that's what I figured too. I think it needs breathing room--poor darling is going to just suffocate before we get the official word to open pkgs.!
