I am really happy this idea is being received so well. I have never had a sister much less a secret one and I have wanted to do this for so long. Thanks ESQ for your offer that certainly would make it easier for our "dignitaries" to stay secret. So it sounds like it is a go?

Kathryn - I think the expense would be nominal. Besides, isn't it a marketing expense for me? Am I getting goodwill for my law practice? Then it's a business expense and a write-off!!

No worries on this end, I'd be glad to help keep the secret!

Either way, if she/he's a secret or like a penpal is fine with me.

Sounds like fun. I don't care if it is a secret or not just like the idea of it.

Esq - I used to be in PR and I'd say it's definintely a bona fide marketing expense!

I'm an only child so I'd be thrilled to bits to have a sister (or brother!) :D

I think this would be a lot of fun. To me, it doesn't need to be secret, but if that's what the majority wants, that's fine with me. If we knew who we're partnered up with, we could learn more about their likes/dislikes and communicate throughout the year. Then next year we could all draw different quilt pals. Whatever everyone wants to do, I am "in".

    I'm In

I had one on my yahoo quilt group and loved it. I didnt find out who is was until the 3 months were up. The last one I found out early and we developed a nice friendship we would have never done if we hadnt been SS's We had a new one every quarter. One of my gifts were so heavy the UPS man said it just made weight before a specal charge, there was so much in it I cant remember it all. We also had a fat quarter exchange. We passed a fat quarter we didnt like in our stash to the next person on the list. Itd was fun got some unusual fabrics.
