That was nice to get a thank you note. It makes you feel good to know it was appreciated.

I guess trying to start a club will be harder than I thought. :'(
It was on a thread here...I'm not finding it, but I know it was in Tuscaloosa.

I sent one with a young lady that is stationed here but is from there...she gave it to an elderly lady that was in the shelter with all she had left to her name..a small dog, a suitcase with clothes and a bag of papers....she said the lady cried for an hour and would not let go of her!

Now I am working on finding horse fabric to make two quilts for a couple of boys here in OK. Their family ran a Horse rescue and just lost everything..including 6 of the horses! The boys are devastated!

I'm not sure if this is the same contact info Tink's Mom used but found this a while back. I didn't bookmark the post but saved the info. The lady who posted it said they are looking for donations of all kinds. Someone else attached this info.

Such an incredible feeling ... "giving". Don't you just love giving to people who may never know who you are ... and you can just give from your heart!

Also, with the note was a xerox copy of a photo...with a note written on it...we were hiding from the storm here...
There is nothing left but rubble. It looks like it might have been a bathroom at one time. I'm so happy that I sent that quilt.
How kind of them to send you a thank you note and a blessing for you to know you made a little girl (and her family) happy!

My DH left for Joplin on Wednesday, his company is doing some of the clean up/construction work there.

Reading your post about the little girl gave me goose bumps and made me cry. It is really beyond comprehension what it must be like for them.
