What a great story! That little girl's family is going through a horrendous tragedy, and they still found time to send a thank you. How wonderful for all of you.

Let's each make a quilt for tornado survivors - yes, what an impact we could have! It need not be fancy, at all - but what a blessing it would be for the receiver. I was also thinking about some simple tote bags, so they have something to keep their own things in if they are spending time in a temporary home. Haven't gotten to that yet, but it's an idea to think about!! I challenge each one of you - one quilt!!

I have a couple that are ready to go right now..guess I will send one to each of those contact folks...anyone else have a contact for needed items? If all of us did one or two, we could wrap a lot of needy folks in quilts.....so so sad, to loose so much like that.

That must really make you feel good to know they received it and it sounds like they don't have much left at this time. I'm glad you are thoughtful enough to do it and the note back is so nice. Shows there are good people in the world. Sue

I quilt with a prayer quilt group at my church and I just sent two quilts to Joplin, the mom is a single mom, lost everything including her 9 year old son. Is starting over with her 4year old. Our church is trying to help her get back on her feet.
