Well! I've had a lot of fun with this so far this weekend. It only took me 2-1/2 hrs. to clean out the fuzzies, oil it and figure out how to thread it.

I've played around with it a bit and love it so far. "Esther" has agreed she will cooperate with me considering I gave her such a nice cleaning and oiling.

I am so glad she got a good home! That thread was a steal and I'll assume the serger is just fine--just needed someone to use her. I tried to thread my sis's serger after it had been standing for over 10 years and I didn't succeed. I had about an hour to try to get it figured out and then we were leaving for the airport. Ran out of time.

They can be extremely frustrating so I'm glad you have an agreement with Esther that she will cooperate with you!
