    i was in a LAQ class yesterday and one of my fellow students told me that she dips her entire cone of thread in mineral oil (for her long arm and domestic cones) , lets it sit, then dry. it helps with breakage. yikes, that's scary to me not sure I can do that, but, thought I'd pass it along for the adventurous types :-)

    I'd heard something about that also. I'd be willing to dip one of my smaller spools in the oil, just to see how it worked.
