If you are going to be sewing Memorial Day Weekend, please post on here what you are sewing so we can all have fun! One of the other quilters posted this idea so I started this thread for us.

    Happy Quilting!

I hope to be starting a quilt for my son for Christmas. It will have some machine and some hand quilting.
    Blessings,

I will be working on quilts for a friend. Her mother pieces 4 quilts and I'm finishing them. This will take my time for many days. 3 are from the 70-'80's and one is old. My guess is 30's-40's.

This will be great fun. Now I have to think of what I will be working on. If I am not finished piecing and quilting 8 placemats - that is what I will be working on. I will let you know.

I found 60 sun bonnet sue blocks made be my great grandmother ( she died in 1928) while cleaning out my grandmothers house, so I'm making wall hangings for all 3 of my sisters and my 2 children. Can't wait we are so excited.

It all depends on how my knee is doing. I am having surgery for a torn meniscus the Tuesday before. Because of that I am not going anywhere. It's my right knee, the one that controls the foot pedal!

DH and I will be working on a quilt for the raffle at our car club's annual car show held on the first weekend in June. The club donates all $$ raised to Cancer Society, Make A Wish, and to the local High School scholarship foundation. We have given over $40,000 to the scholarship foundation, and given lots of minority kids the opportunity to go to college. It's a real blessing.

I'm hoping to have my OBW pieces cut and ready to sew together.
