That looks handy. If you'd like to save the price of a couple of fat qtrs you can do this! I use green electrical tape to make a straight line down from the needle hole for diagonals; the red tape is my scant 1/4" line. Works a treat!

A gal that I quit with has one of these and uses it all the time - loves it. I think the electrical tape would work just as well too.

I have the angle tingy, same thing. I used it all the time. But now I just draw a line down the middle and use my two sided quater inch foot to sew the seams besides it.

It was sew "not easy" for me. Couldn't get it to work for anything. Couldn't keep it straight, etc. Maybe I just gave up too easy?? The best way for me to do half square triangles is to cut into squares and then cut into triangles and then sew the triangles together. I know it sounds lame (and a lot of work) but it's the only way I can keep my square somewhat "square".

I have since purchased the June Tailor Half Square triangle ruler and think this should work just fine.

Have you tried (if you need more than one) to cut 2 bigger squares (there is a calculation for this), put right sides together, draw a diagonal line on back side of one (corner to corner) then sewing 1/4" on each side of diagonal line. Cut down the drawn line and bingo - 2 triangle squares! I know there are links for this method - anybody have one?
