All I can say is Bless you.
Too many cats (we are down to 12 now), bless you for taking care of your Mum, one thing at a time and you will get 'er done.

Lost my mon last year she was 93.You will never regreat the time you have with your mother.
We have seven cats that go in and out. They were kittens from wild strays. Thank God they are all fixed (no kittens). We all need time for ourselfs. Quilting is a release.

I understand completely about wanting more time to quilt. When you work full time and have a family, there is only "x" amount of time and energy left to pour into your quilting. But I can't NOT do it because quilting is an oasis where I can drink and be renewed. I can create, give to another and know the beginning and end. Even when I don't have time to sew, I pull out my current WIP and just look at it for a few minutes and feel better - a sip for the day!

A woman in my quilt guild works full time, babysits grandkids and makes more quilts in a year than anyone in the group. She sews in the kitchen and always has to clear it up for meals. She sews for 5-15 minutes whenever she can. Set a timer for 15 minutes and see just how much you can do! It really is amazing. Deadlines can really screw up my motivation so I just don't do that to myself anymore. Enjoy the time you have with your mom and helping your husband, your quilting will always be there patiently waiting for you to come and play.

Yes, the link worked perfectly. Your mom looks pretty happy and I can't blame her. I love that panel in the center!! (drool!)
