I thought Pigs in a blanket were just big family food. Mom used to make them and I still love them. I slice the hot dog and put cheese in it. The cheese drips out and yummy. I dip mine in mustard. I made some this summer for my grandson with the giant refrigerator biscuits and big giant hotdogs. It took two biscuits to cover them. He was in heaven. Poor child never gets hot dogs at home. My daughter hates them.

I have never understood the chicken and waffles thing either. And I love both. Just not at the same time. I guess it is not much different then having rolls with your meal. Or chicken gravy over mashed potatoes on the side with your fried chicken. I am just not much of a food mixer. My husband laughs at me when we go to our casino buffet. I get so grossed out with people that pile their plates to overflowing. They let you have more then one plate and go through the line more then once. Honest they do.

I have heard about chicken and waffles forever, but have never had them. I have seen them served on the Food Network, and think they would be delicious! I think I would like waffles with chicken and gravy, but not with syrup!

We eat chicken and waffles,,,I did it as a child too. I guess I didn't realize it was unusual. We also eat spaghetti noodles with our chile. I had someone tell me that was weird a few weeks ago.

I was just watching Rachel Ray's 30 Minute Meals on Food Network and she made chicken and waffles! And she lives in New York. Fried chicken and maple syrup over waffles.

It sounds like no one has been to Roscoe's in southern California. Main course: fried chicken and waffles. Best restaurant EVER.
