    Default sewing on buttons

I was sewing decorative buttons onto a quilt top, and made two discoveries:

    1. Don't sew the buttons on until AFTER you have quilted the area, and

    2. When attempting to sew on a button, put the fabric into an embroidery hoop. It just makes things easier.

However, don't attempt #2 until you've read #1. Ask me and my seam ripper how we know.....LOL

That's a great idea about the embroidery hoop. I would have never thought of that.

Thank you for the tips. I also sew mine on with dental floss. Those buttons never come off.
