I think it is great that she gets to do this, especially since schools no longer teach a home economics class that includes sewing. Too many kids are growing up watching television or playing video games instead of picking up a worthwhile hobby.

Yes I agree, I am trying to keep them active in a sport and also encourage them in another activity. I didnt have the chance to do those things growing up but wish I had. She is very excited about it, and it is a place that can grow with her and thier goal is to get them onto fashion school after highschool. So it is definatly a great place for her to learn!

Well, look at you Racquel...you are adorable.
I think it's great that she is learning how to sew at her age. Sewing may become a life long hobby for her and one day we'll see her posting on this site.
I would love to see pictures of other things she learns to make.

I am so happy that your daughter is starting to sew. I can't believe that the schools no longer have home ec or shop classes or art lessons. Talk about the "dumbing down of America"!! Sorry-have to get off my soapbox.
You have every right to be proud of her--we all are. Keep on posting her projects, we'd all love to see them. Thanks.
