What a good idea she has with the stencils.

My go to HST method is magic 8, you still have to draw the X, but just once for 8 hsts.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought Bonnie Hunter was using the Doug Leko ruler to chop off the corner ahead of sewing. I just tried it on what I'm trying to do and 3 of them turned out and somehow I goofed up on the 4th one.

look for Jenny Dolan's tutorial on you tube (Missouri Star Quilt Company). She sews two squares together then cuts on two diagonals, gets 4 half square triangles. Watch her video for a much better explanation.

I have never seen this tool. What an amazing new toy. I just ordered it. This will be so much better that drawing my lines on my machine with a sharpie! Brilliant. I love that I can also use it for garment seam aligning. (Just so you know, I remove the sharpie lines with alcohol wipes. No damage.)

There is a program that helps with HST and QST. It is called Triangulations. EAsy to use and costs about $30.
