    Default ?sewing for heros?

umm.....I have time, I have thread, I have fabric, I have a rotary cutter...ummm…..I think I will start stitching quilts for the heroes in my city......when this terrible time is past....they will all get a time to nap....don't know how many I can make....or when it will be safe to present them....but I am going to get busy.....

What a lovely idea. There are many that are risking their safety and I am sure would welcome a surprise present as a thank you.

Our heroes at our local hospital actually asked us for quilts for patients, they've run out of blankets. We were quite happy to oblige.

As you may know there are many videos out there showing directions, tips on best fabric, best filters, etc. Do find a very recent video with updated info as things change rapidly, i.e. Type and length of elastic, ties vs. elastic, etc. A local group has donated hundreds of masks in response to urgent requests. Though the masks don't prevent the spread of the virus, they help. Thanks for stepping up! Our heroes need and deserve our support. Take care all. Keep calm and quilt on. PS. a bonus is that you get to play with your fabric!
