Hope you feel better soon. Yes, I've even sewn right through a fingernail---the part that still has the finger underneath it. OUCH!! Mostly now I just aggravate my arthritis.

a stiletto was laying by my sewing machine without the protector cover and I accidently knocked off and the tip hit the top of my foot and blood sperted all over the wall next to it. It swelled up and I put an ice pack on it. It was allright after about 12 hours.

Yikes! Thanks for sharing. That should be a lesson to all of us. I got my finger way too close to the needle while FMQ, and you guessed it, a needle in the finger! Not bad, though, just a little oweee.

I dropped my 15 inch square ruler on the top of my foot and the corner busted it open and it was swollen and bruised for weeks. I barely cut my finger with the rotary cutter once and have been very careful ever since. Haven't sewn my finger yet, but I'll watch for that after reading how many of you have.

I got a blister cutting with my rotary cutter last night. Does that count. The blister broke and is about 3/8" wide. Guess I need gloves. LOL

Ouch!!! I was cutting yesterday. Laid the rotary cutter down and for real picked it up thinking those qb ladies told you not to do that. Now I will be extra careful. You warned us of the dangers lurking.

I also sliced a corner tip of my finger off earlier this year. I am finally getting all the feeling back. I am real careful now. Hope your finger gets back to normal soon, those bandages from the ER get in the way of sewing :)

I was home alone late one winter night. DH was away at deer camp. I was making the most of my sewing time when I cut my finger with the rotary cutter. I drove myself to the ER and had to have 7 stitches. I was not a happy camper. It healed nicely and I now have a great deal of respect for Mr. R Cutter.

    Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyewwwwwwww!
Another good reason for me to get a gripper - to keep the cutter from slicing me to pieces.
