My DH said that he would be glad to be of assistance to anyone needing help with their sewing machines. He would be able to help you know if you need to take it to a technician or if there is something you can try to do yourself to fix a problem. So, if you have questions, bring 'em on!

Well, DH only does cleaning, oiling and adjustments on local machines :( , but when he does, he charges $60.

Will he do house visits? My Bernina popped up with a message today telling me it needs a service. I am looking at a 500 mile round trip to a service repair man, or sending it over to the UK. I have a guest room and you could always come with him. Seriously though, it is a very kind offer, I just wish you both lived near me.

When I told him that you lived in Ireland, it was very tempting to just pack up and head on over. He loves working on machines and I love to travel. How about if we ever head over that way (DSIL is from UK...) we will be sure to stop by and he can look at your machine while you and I visit! :D
