    Default Sewing Machine impulse buy!

I took my Janome DC 3050 into my dealer for a maintenance/cleaning. She had the Janome 3160 QDC on special for $599.00 ( msrp $999.00) i have considered this machine as an upgrde because it is lighter and has thread cutter. Comes with an extension table and hard case. But I could not justify the price....Sold! No trade- in because of the 40% fiscount..which I understood. My dealer says she might have a customer that would buy my 3050. Hmmm. Not sure hubby was thrilled but I am! Lol! Count your cars, my dear. Just sayin'.

A great deal, I'd say! And you'll love the thread cutter!

Nice! And I'm sure your new machine cost less than one of his cars, unless he's into REAL fixer uppers!

Meanwhile, I held off... Went to dealer yesterday to buy Heavenly sewing chair. While there, saw a Featherweight with case that I seriously considered. Never wanted one but realized that it could go in a carry on when flying - which neither of my other machines can do. But I left without it. Called 2 hours later; it had been sold. Guess no machine is going to FL with me this year!

Have fun with your new machine.

You will love this machine. I bought one several years ago,and use it as my "away" machine. I don't regret it for a minute. It is a GREAT machine!!!

    P.S. I also have a "Car" husband!

Yeah for you! Some of my favorite buys have been on impulse. You will love the auto thread cutter. It is a must have feature for me. I would keep the 3050 for backup.

yep..my "travel" machine too! I still have my larger Machines that hold down the fort! Dh cars are clunkers...fixer uppers. They multiply when I am not looking, LOL! He did not say anything about the machine...in his defense. I have been discouraged from buying a new car so this us my consolation prize!

I was pondering just keeping the 3050. It is 9 years old and still works great. In the meantime, it is getting tuned up!
