I have the same poblem with my Viking 500. I didn't get it serviced and now it has quit working. I'm afraid to take it in because of the cost to repair. It made a clunking noise and I kept sewing. It quit feeding so I used the walking foot. Stupid me. Now I think I've ruined the best machine I ever owned. Yes, get your machines serviced regularily!!!!!!
