I have a Question I'm making a Bluejean quilt and I use the 1/4 inch sewing
foot, so what I'm needing to know is how will I be able to keep the materal from unraveling using the straight stich that you use with that 1/4 in sewing foot?

on demim, I usually make my seams a bit larger, AND be sure to use a shorter length stitch.

Depending on the pattern that you are using, you can use the serger.

Before I had the serger, I would sew a skimpy 1/4 in. from the edge, then the seam. When it raveled, after washing, it never went past the first line.

I would use a larger seam allowance and shorter stitches.
If it is going to get a lot of hard ware, I might even double stitch the seams!
