    Wow! all great ideas. My only thing is getting it all set up and then thinking...that might have been better over there and this over here. So maybe set it up somehow before nailing it all in place sort of idea.

    ironing space next to your sewing machine, cutting board space the correct height, book & pattern storage space and shelves for fabric storage and UFO's

    Lighting, lighting, lighting. That said, I couldn't live without my cutting table and my ironing table (which subs as a second cutting table when necessary). My ironing table is one of those crafting tables you can buy at Joanns, both leaves stay up and I ordered a custom ironing board cover for it, one of the best purchases I ever made. Can never have too much ironing space!

    Good lighting. Lighting over your cutting table without shadows, lighting on design wall, whatever storage system have good lighting.
