here's a couple..

I bought a closet hanger for sweaters, which if one wants, has drawers to go into the cubbies. I use them for fabric and the drawers, had patterns and whatever.

I also bought the closet shoe hanger and this is great for FQs and smaller pieces of fabric.

Close the closet door and all sun is away from your fabric as well as dust........

The wall hanging (hubby made) is for my thread and is a God-send........holds close to 75 to 80 spools and that also keeps the dust off the thread.

Hope these help someone....they sure have been a big help for me.

My dad made one of those wall hangings for my mom! She etched the glass with a design and he installed dowels onto the shelves - it is gorgeous! Also - what a COOL molding for the wall hanging! I would never have thought to use rulers!

I am not allowed to put nails in my walls again so I took my VCR tape holder and attached peg board to the sides that were open. I use it to hang some of my rulers of course they don't all fit, but at least the large ones can hang up again.

I only have 3 bedrooms, none of those nice, fancy bonus rooms to use. I'll turn oldest DD's room into sewing room when she decides to move out, which doesn't look like anytime soon. Lol So until then my machine sits at the end of the dining room table and I keep all my fabric & stuff in 2 plastic 6-drawer units, from walmart, in my bedroom. I can use all the organization ideas for small spaces that I can get. :)

You might want to line the pizza box with acid-free paper. Bounty makes a paper towel for use in the microwave that is acid free. Cheap, cheap!!

Great idea. I am pondering how to change a bedroom over to my sewing room. It is hard to think "out of box" and all these ideas will help me (and others) design their own space.

I have lots of fabric in those plastic bins. If they hold a lot of fabric, I have to dig to get it out. So, I have found two solutions: 1) I use stackable tubs that originally came filled with dog biscuits, and I think those came from Sam's club. The have handles with lids that lift up without coming off, are not too big, and are clear plastic. 2) Walmart has some 3 drawer plastic units for $9 and they come in colors. I bought a few of those and put red fabric in the red one, blues in the blue, etc.
