I like all the Sewline products. The marker line is distinct and stays long enough to "manhandle" while hand quilting.

I also use this product with great results and agree with comments already said.

Thanks for asking the questions and all the replies. I saw this just last week at Hancocks and passed it by because I wanted to think about it. Now I know it will work and definitely go back and get one. Also good to know the two colors that work best so I don't waste money on all the colors. Thanks for the information.

The Fons and Porter refills are a lot cheaper than the Sew Line and as far as I know are the same thing. Where I buy mine locally, you get 6 pieces of the Sew Line or 10 of the Fons and Porter. They are the same price, so I buy Fons and Porter. I have been using the white to mark my dark background for applique of the Affairs of the Heart blocks which Candi mentioned previously.

I love mine. There is also a liquid eraser pen that you can use to get rid of the marks. But I think maybe water would also do it.

My sewing group has tried them all. Be careful, the pink leaves a mark that doesn't come out entirely. I'm talking about marking your quilt for "hand quilting." I've used the white and green for tracing around applique patterns.

I haven't used the Sewline but use the Fons & Porter pencils. I use them often and really like them.
