    Default Shabby Fabrics 2012 BOM

I was wondering how many are doing this particular BOM http://www.shabbyfabrics.com/Country...am-P12993.aspx
I have downloaded the first block, but have not made it yet. I have seen a few pictures here and elsewhere of the finished block, and they are so cute. I know that one can order monthly kits, but for those who are not doing that how are you choosing fabric? Are you using a fabric collection or doing scrappy? Choosing fabric for something like this leaves me stumped.
    Thanks

Cute but no. I started one similar here in the uk about two years ago. I think I have done 2 maybe 3 out of the 12 blocks. Also a third of a way through a Dear Jane that I started xxx years ago.
    On a scrap mission!!

Thanks for the heads-up. I downloaded the first PDFs. Probably won't be doing it now but always glad to add another pattern to my collection for someday.

I've looked at it, gone Oooo in an interested manner, and downloaded the pdf of the first one.

Haven't actually done it yet... LOL

I am also downloading the blocks. I think I'll wait to see what a few of the other blocks look like before I decide on material. I tend to go scrappy.

Oh, this is so cute. I've never done a block of the month project, but I may just have to do this. I love Shabby Fabrics choices of fabric and am sorely tempted to get the kits as they come out. Hmmm-what can I cut back on to afford these.... Thanks for posting the link!

Have downloaded it and would love to do it. Have a few things to finish up first but will probably use some of my stash on it. Love Shabby Fabrics!

I had never heard of them... but I just downloaded (and printed) the first block. I've never done aplique before... so I may use snowflake design fabric in the background instead of trying to mess with those applique flakes. Now, to remember to download every month! I may wait till I have all 12 before starting the quilt, I'm not sure yet. That would make it easier to pick out fabrics though....

I loved the look of the fabrics too. I think the BOM program would be fun too. I too would have to think of what to cut out to pay monthly fee. But really cute. I had not seen Shabby Fabrics either. Cool. Also I love doing hand applique.
