Google "shape cut ruler" and it will come up with all sorts of sites and images for it. I had forgotten about mine, dug it out of the closet and watched the You-Tube videos out and I am using it!! I also have a ruler/cutter combo - so now it depends on what I am cutting. They are pretty good. Look it up and you will find all kinds of good info on them. :-)

A June Tailor Shape Cut Ruler...in case there is more than one such thing...is what I have. It is a ruler that has slits in it that your rotary cutter fits in. If you fold your fabric in fourths, wof, and line it up correctly (follow instructions or google how to use one) you can cut strips of fabric at any width, from 1/2 inch to 12 or 1/2 inch to 18 (depending on your ruler...I have one of each size.) Mine are in 1/2 inch intervals.
You can cut 2 1/2 inch strips for binding, four inch strips and then cut again to get four inch squares, etc. It is a wonderful tool. I got one of mine at Walmart and one at a quilt store. Like Marysewfun says, google it. You should get some images and more.
I have a great deal of trouble cutting a straight line, and this works wonderfully for me. If you have ever had trouble with your ruler moving, this would help that too, as this ruler doesn't move for me like others used to.
