Just took up learning to play the Dulcimer. I've had two lessons and play with a group from the church. This too , like quilting, is a wonderful group of people who care for each other and nourish the passion of music.

This is fascinating! Everyone is into so many different types of things yet we all have quilting in common. My hobbies are quilting, fabric collecting, more quilting, more fabric collecting and reading, cooking, and cross stitching. Not as interesting as some of you but keeps me happy.

I'm new to this board and fairly new to quilting. This board has improved my skills a lot! Anyway, my other hobbies include motorcycle touring with my husband, cross stitch, reading, and gardening in the summer. Since I also work full time, it takes me a while to complete projects!

I like to garden, raise turkeys, chickens, and ducks, raise many berries, grapes, and fruits, can and preserve, make wine, make beer, cook and bake, make breads, read, play piano, volunteer, crochet (especially thread crochet), sew, refinish furniture, and learn new things. I'll be back to homeschooling again, though that isn't exactly a hobby! I'm learning to restore old sewing machines, too. Quilting must be my favorite. I am never bored!

I love that you make your own laundry soap. How do you do it? A basic summary? We are going to be making our own cheese and soap one day and are considering Bees.
You may look it up ("Google it.") online. Most recipes are about the same. I make my own, too. If I can do it, it must be easy. Here's the recipe I use.
