I might use a 2 1/2" smaller boarder of your cream background fabric, then an outer border of burgundy.

Antique gold does sound nice. I was thinking warm yellow-tan, which is the same idea, except antique gold sounds better!

    Default Update on sashing

I went a little more yellow and a bit darker. I like this and then will add a wider burgundy border.

I really like this! Your sashing sets off the blocks & will be great as the stopper for the burg. outer border. Great job!

I agree the white is too bright against your cream... since you have a couple of blocks which contain corners in blue or burgundy they would blend in with a blue or burgundy sashing but... if you chose a contrasting color it would make your beautiful blocks pop. I agree with becca and would audition different fabrics... even antique gold.

Let us know what you decide... it is going to be beautiful when finished.

I like the idea of the burgundy with cream corner stones and then a cream outer border . It's going to be a great quilt.
