You all are awesome. I knew that by coming to the board I would get some great ideas. I have sent them to my hubby to see what he is thinking. I am so glad I asked because I feel very inspired now. Thanks for the help.

I forgot to mention when I posted my quilt for you to see .... while I used different colours/fabrics for the sheep, another time I might do the sheep in minkee or the equivalent. Also, maybe you could turn that Shepherd into your friend .... denim overalls, farm cap, plaid shirt, or whatever is representative of him! I have plans to convert him into a Little Bo Peep sometime for a child's quilt
