Gee... reading through the service updates at USPS (here: http://www.usps.com/communications/n...iceupdates.htm), it's just full of all sorts of unexpected information, such as this one regarding shipping delays to Australia:

An ash cloud from the Puyehue-Cordón Caulle volcano in Chile has disrupted air transportation to, from and within Australia. The Australian Volcanic Ash Advisory Center has advised that airspace in Tasmania and Melbourne has been affected. Mail processing also will be impacted as a result of the disruption to air services until further notice.

I'm just hoping that all the ash will be gone in 2 weeks so that we can leave on our vacation
It has been very disruptive here, even domestic flights have been affected. :x

DH and I managed to get out of Tasmania in between the ash clouds disrupting air travel and I have just had a fantastic week in Sydney. I spent 2 days at the Sydney Quilt Show and was so amazed at the beautiful quilts. Of course spent way too much on more fabric, patterns and gadgets.

Was hoping the ash cloud would come around again so we had to stay longer in Sydney but alas it didn't so I am back in cold dismal Tasmanian weather once again. :( :(

It must be about the depth of winter for you, in Tasmania... we're enjoying the start of summer here!

Aahh summer ! A month gone of bleak winter weather and I am yearning for spring and summer already, as well as daylight saving.
