Shipping a Quilt

Shipping a Quilt
I am shipping a quilts and a wall hanging from Canada to the US via UPS.
I know I shouldn't put "Quilt" in the description, but what should I put?
I was thinking of "bedding" for the quilt, maybe, but what for the wallhanging?
Any suggestions appreciated.

How about blanket and wall decor? I'd avoid bedding because it looks like you might be trying to avoid matress pads and they are subject to special treatment due to bed bugs trying to hitch a ride between countries.

I usually put blanket or fabric.
My son works at UPS and is part of the HazMat Response Team, which deals with spills and breakage. I strongly recommend you wrap the quilt in waterproof plastic of some kind, and put your return address and the ship-to address clearly inside the box, in case the box gets wet or damaged. It's amazing how many people do not package their liquids very well, packages break and leak on other packages.

Yes, put in a sturdy plastic bag and include the address for delivery inside the bag. If the box is so wet that it begins to disintegrate, you want someone to know where the piece should go. Seems I saw this on this site within the last year and I did this when I mailed a quilt across state.
