Had a great time today, hitting 3 different Quilt Shops, 3 Dudes Quilting, The Quilted Apple, and Zoe's Trunk. Saw all my friends from our summer quilt club on the shop hop, spent way too much money. And then, I got home, opened the mail and aged 10 years! Got my new Medicare card in the mail. Where did all the years go? Can't believe I'm going to be 65, at least not until June, did they have to send it out so early and remind me!

Guess I better get some of those UFO'S done before another 10 yrs go by.

Be thankful for the upcoming birthday. I had open heart surgery for my 39th. Almost didn't see 39, i celebrate everyone now as if it could be my last, you never know.

I felt the same way when they started sending me memberships to AARP. They really send them out ahead of time. I got my first one when I was only 45. It just sucked all the good stuff I had going on that day right out of me. I sat down and ate a big bowl of ice cream.

Don't fret turning 65. It is much better than the alternative which is not having any more birthdays. The best is yet to come.

I turned 65 last year and it does hit home. But there are lots of good years ahead of us. I am thankful to be still here ten years after double mastectomy.

After working in factorys all my life I was happy when I got old enough to retire. I will be 65 in August.

It was our group from the mountains and those in the Valley...we only do it once a winter! We'd love to have you join us next time.

Sounds like fun. I am coming to Phoenix in March...will have to do my own shop hop. I went to 3 Dudes Quilting shortly after they opened, and to Zoes. Nice places. I also went to 35th Ave Sew and Vac. I like the one in Chandler.
Glad you had a good Hop!
