There are several really nice quilt shops in the KC area.

Peddler's Wagon located 115 Main Street, Parkville, MO

Prairie Point Fabrics and Quilting at 7341 Quivera Rd, Shawnee Mission, KS

Harper's Fabric and Quilt Company 7918 Santa Fe Dr, Overland Park, KS‎

Quilter's Station 806 SW Blue Pkwy, Lees Summit, MO

    Quilter's Haven 116 N Clairborne Rd, Olathe, KS‎

Heritage Fine Fabrics 120 Main St, Belton, MO‎

Rustic Yearnings 4621 S Shrank Dr, Independence, MO

I am sure that others that live in the area now can tell you more....

Marcia gave you a pretty good list of what is in the KC Metro area. I have been to the KS ones but not the MO ones.

How far do you want to travel? There are two shops in Lawrence just west of KC. They are on Mass Street a great place to spend the day or an afternoon and have lunch. There are two shops in Topeka which is an hour west of KC and then there is a great little shop shop of Topeka in Overbrook. And south of Lawrence there is a shop in Baldwin. That is what I can think of off the top if my head. Let me know if I can be of any more help. I used to live in Topeka, went to college in Lawrence and have spent lots of time in Johnson County.
