I gave up feeling guilty about spending money on myself when I realized my kids never did feel any guilt at all about spending my money. DH said he never felt guilty buying something he wanted. I thought of all the times I cut corners on what I wanted. It was for nothing, no one gave it a second thought about it but me. LOL Now I want something for quilting I don't think twice before bringing it home.

No, I have not, and am so excited to give it a try. The machine comes with lessons, and they told me that I can come back and take the class again and again. I think that they will be sorry they said that!

At some point you have to think of yourself. I cut corners all the time to manage our money but when I went to get a new machine I bought what I wanted. Not the most expensive but one step up from what I thought I would get. I don't regret it at all. I buy a lot of my quilting fabric from less expensive places so I figure this is my splurge.

I have the brother version, and completely agree. I happen to think it is one of the best machines on the market right now. Hope you enjoy yours, mine is almost 2 years old, I love mine to pieces, just wish embroidery didn't have such a steep learning curve as a newbie, but I am still learning a lot about my machine

Repeat every time you look at/use your Unity Babylock: It's ok to buy a gift for myself!

I buy all my own 'gifts' for whatever 'event' that comes up these days. It's just so much easier than dropping a million hints and DH not hearing a word of them. He does the same with his own 'gifts' because I don't hear all the hints he drops me.

I know you will thoroughly enjoy using that Babylock Unity. Can't wait to see your first completed project - bet you can't either!

You will love your Unity. I purchased the Spirit and Crescendo last year and love them both. Previously I had the Ellageo Plus. I agree about Baby Lock machines being user friendly. CONGRATULATIONS and Happy Stitching!
