    I have been researching sewing machine on line does anyone have a white Quilters star 1780 sewing machine :D

    What do you think of it :?:

    Ruth,
    I googled this sewing machine and on 2 different sites it said it was discontinued so be careful, you don't want a "new" machine that you can't get parts, etc. for.

    That is why i can get over 200 off, It comes with all the quilting feet. It was 499 and I found one for 289

    That sounds like a great deal but have you read comments from those who have bought one? I read them from the Joanne's site and for about every one person who absolutley loved it there were 3 to 4 who are warning others not to buy it. There seems to be alot of trouble with the tension, also the auto threader and sending them in for repairs. Just a heads up for you.

    I saw Joanns duidn't have any so didn't go further....thank you for pointing me in that direction............thats way to many negatives....this board is full of great people

    Ruth,

    I would check out sears. The Kenmores are good machines and they are made by Janome. The only down side is that there isn't any lessons on using the machine.
