Hi Everyone, I'm a new member, and have been trying to find out if there is anyone who has heard of a quilt made with old shoulder pads. I did see something one time and darn if I can find anything again. If I can't find out something-I've got lots of old shoulder pads I've been saving for years. Hope someone out there can help. Thanks Waggally

Welcome from Central California.
Shoulder pads? I have some but all I've used them for is making bustles for smaller Victorian Dolls, and putting them in men's shirts that I get for myself. Never heard of a shoulder pad quilt, but why not? We make them from puffy circles, so this one should be warm and comfy. I'd think they would be sewn to a background fabric, maybe a top also since they don't usually have a decorative pattern on them.
Keep us informed as to your progress, this sounds interesting.

I don't know about a quilt, but I found this interesting thread on uses for shoulder pads, including how to make an angel from them:

I guess I am a little late but I make pot holders with my shoulder pads. Most have a straight edge on one side. I bump the 2 straight edges together and sew the 2 together, cover with fabric and quilt as desired.
