    I would give it a go if you have enough of one of the fabrics. And you could get a nice surprise, as you will have probably seen from some of the examples shown in the Topic List for OBWs, the results are very often much more interesting than the original fabric.
    Do you have one of the One Block Wonder books, which give lots of help and hints for fabric selection, as well as cutting and construction, and ideally you will want at least a 12in repeat.

    If you're thinking of using an assorted bunch of fabrics for a OBW that's not the concept.
    You use ONE fabric, and six repeats of it.

    Four repeats would let you do a 4PP.
    Or if you have eight repeats, then you're up for a SAW/OBW.

    Katrine - I love the cubes you did with Christmas fabric! Thanks for that great idea.

    leatheflea - even if you use Christmas fabric in a OBW, the resulting quilt may not look like Christmas. I did one with doggy fabric and you have to look very hard to see the dogs.
