I have an old office chair that needs to be replaced, the seat up/down piston is expired and it no longer adjusts. Because it did fit under my previous desk, I left the arms on but now with my new table and correct height set for me I should take them off if I don't replace the chair soon.
BTW, I try to clean out the casters on my chairs along with DST -- I should do it today!
When looking at chairs, be aware of weight issues! Many of the cheepo chairs are based on people weighing 200 or less -- for those that are under the threshold, good for you! When my husband was large he went through even large chairs quickly but we would typically find a nice high quality "executive" chair on Craig's list for about $100 which was a better deal than a new $100 chair.

I have this chair also and love it. I also got it on closeout from Arrow at 50% off because fabric choice was retired. Not only comfortable to sew in love the feature that the seat lifts up and there is storage underneath.

Sewing chair
I have an old vintage sewing chair with storage under the seat. I'm not sure if it's great or not(I just got it today from a nice lady I buy sewing machines from). I pray it's comphy because I really like it.

well I have to be weird. When I moved in here I planned to use my office chair (on wheels) for both computer desk and sewing table. But then I found this one and loved it (I put a cushion on the seat). I love old chairs, I have 5 with rush seats in perfect condition, paid about $5 for each of them.
