The deluxe does work with the Viking - that why I bought it. I also wind bobbins on it for everything else I own from my 3/4 Janome Hello Kitty to my treadles to my 1948 Singer 66 up to the Viking and longarm. Have never had any issues with any of them!!

Love mine. Used it the first time to demo to my quilting class. It worked as advertised. Would buy it again. I bought extra bobbins and wound them for my needle turn applique. Now I don't have to carry thread spools, just prewound bobbins done on the Sidewinder.

Pfaff bobbins won't fit on the spindle--besides it doesn't take that long to wind a bobbin---you probab;y need a break anyway

I broke mine, I think the sewing machine can do it just as good.

I love my sidewinder so much I bought two. One for each of my work areas....Be careful of what you pay for it...I paid 14.99 for one and 16.99 for the other. I have seen them for as much as 34.99 depending where you are looking...

I have a Viking Sapphire and heard that the bobbins wouldn't work on Sidewinder (but don't know from experience). I can fill my bobbin while my machine is threaded so see no reason to have one.

Sounds like we are not giving you a definite answer. I love mine. And they have come out with one that is much more expensive and will do all types of bobbins and has an adjustable tension disc. Good luck.

Ditto on the vintage machines. I love mine for this. Mine is cheaply made..but it works and I too wind several at once.
