Does anyone have a source for silk organza? I saw it placed over an applique and then quilted. I loved the look. I just want a small piece to try.
Its hard to tell in the photo but the organza is over the leaves. It really gives it a nice sheen and texture.

That is really a neat technique. I have never looked for silk organza before, but now will be interested in where to find it!

Dharma Trading Company has it. http://www.dharmatrading.com/fabric/silk/organza.html
Locally, look at any places that sell fabrics for bridal or evening wear.

you can get polyester organza at Joanns for pretty cheap if you just want to practice before buying actual silk.

It would probably be less expensive to go to a fabric store close by to get smaller pieces to practice with :D:D:D

Several years ago I bought silk organza at "Thai Silk" in Mountain View, CA. The whole shop was full of beautiful silks of all types.
