Don't waste your money. Check out the Sizzix Big Shot. It's cheaper than the Accuquilt, doesn't have as many dies, but they have a lot of basic shapes.

If you are looking for improvement on strips I would do the june tailor shape cut plus or the altos quilt cut. I have a sizzix big shot but I find all the die cutting systems super expensive, unless you have that kind of money to invest. Also I never bought the strip dies because the june tailor shape cut is super easy and to me would be just as fast and way cheaper in the long run. I personally wouldn't get the simplicity unless it was something I won

I use the fiskers thingy ...a ruler with a rotary cutter attached..accurately cuts 8 layers of fabric. It works well, and with a coupon from Joanns is reasonably priced.

Have one, but like others had trouble getting even cuts. I found it hard to feed the fabric through and keep it consistent. It might work better with paper but I'm not a scrapbooker so it sits in its box. I was disappointed because i really like the bias tape maker. Use it all the time.
