I went online to find Simply Quilt programs with Alex Anderson because I had seen some here, and all I can find are written instructions for projects or videos that go fast through a program with just a narrator giving directions that are too fast to follow.

Does anyone know where to find the original program videos?

HGTV has a few of the programs to watch but not all of them. HGTV website is so confusing, it's hard to find the episodes that are online but they are there. Alex Anderson does not own the shows and I doubt HGTV will ever have them on DVD. It would be bad for their image. I heard from one of the producers that use to work for HGTV that any show that wasn't geared toward the younger modern audience was cancelled and that included all craft and needlework shows.

I learned a lot by watching her show. The only one I get now is the Eleanor Burns, Quilt in a Day on Wednesdays, but I wonder how much longer they will be broadcast.

Sounds like a case of age descrimination. Do we have a lawsuit here? LOL Actually, I guess it's their network and they can do as they darn well please. I seldom watch it anymore. I'm pretty sick of home improvement and buying the house of your dreams shows.

Same here. Too many times I've seen people walk into a home that looks pretty much like mine and comment on how "dated and old" it looks and they could never live there. Just got tired of hearing it. I realize my house is no mansion but I don't live in a dump by any means. Those shows are designed to feed their sponsors - make us unhappy with what we've got so we'll buy their products. Sorry, I'm comfortable, I'm satisfied, I won't go into debt.

And that's my rant for today. :)

Good for you!!! I noticed that a lot of sewing machine manufacturers do the same thing.

I very seldom watch HGTV anymore. Not interested in the type of programs they have now.
