Singer 431-G
I was wondering if anyone has this machine and if they thoiught it would be worth $40.00.
here is one in my area and it has peaked my curiosity. I have never seen one like it. Any pro's
or con's. Please let me know and thank you in advance.

Nab it! Those are very rare machines here in the US as they were made for the European market and they go for hundreds of dollars, typically. It's similar to the 401 except that it can also do a chain stitch(from what I recall). I would buy it in a heartbeat for $40.

I agree----Nab it ! these are very sought-after machines in the Singer world. they are German. google 431G
and see what you come up with. there is a guy who collects them & has a great site. $40 is good if it is good
condition--very good, don't buy one is sad shape because you can never resell it. but you won't want to !
