My daughter is in a short visit, and she brought me a suprise!!! She knew I was becoming "a collector" of sewing machines, and two were given to her from friends....they are a Singer Stylist 774 and Singer 6136. They both appear in very good condition, but the 774 doesnt have any manual, power cord, or foot......other than that it looks in great shape....I'm looking for a foot and cord now to try her out! The 6136 looks also in great shape with manual, and power cord.....will try out this afternoon!!!!

Would love to hear any comments from you about these machines.....DD said she knew I didn't NEED them, but couldn't turn them away since they were FREE!!! Love my girl!!!!

I don't know anything about the "newer" Singers, but I do know you can still get parts for most of the machines from the Singer website.

You can also look on ebay for spare parts.
